Many architects are using SketchUp software to produce their own models, and I strongly encourage this. There is no substitute for hands-on modeling to understand a design. While SketchUp modeling is great for the designers, often the images generated are not of sufficient quality to make a good presentation to the client. Presentation is a vital part of the design and approvals process as every Architect is well aware.
